Why Invest In Cheap Land During Economic Downturns Tuesday, May 12, 2009 - Without a doubt 2008 was the commencement to one of the worst economic manifestos. This has made investing money in the World's economies unsound. The terror of the bank crisis and financial bailout forces the brainy investors to change prospect from stock shares, money trading, and commodities, to one of the most assured and reliable investments: 'land'. Non-land investments carry perilous risks at this time. The market is unstable. This has made these type of investments more prone to failure. The markets are highly volatile. The result has been the instigation of a 50% fall by American, Asian and European markets.
SO WHY CHEAP LAND? Land has a fixed value. The value of money is materially at stake during economic downturns. The value of shares is crashing despite remedy actions taken by the state. The government is bailing out tons of dollars to energize the economy but it has not yet given signs that any of it is working. There are more banks that are at risk of failing, similar to the crisis in the 80s and 30s. Land has a fixed value, the value does fluctuate but the price is guaranteed to appreciate with time. Secondly, land is a secure physical investment of capital.
