How Much Should I Bid? Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - Bidders are always asking me how much they should bid on a piece of land. My advice is for a person to always bid within their means. Of course there's a chance you may be outbid, but few land investors want to pay a large sum of cash upfront. They want to own property with little or no down to obtain the maximum return on their cash invested. Consequently most of our auctions will close with winning bid amounts almost anyone can afford. So I say to all our bidders to just go ahead and bid. Successful land ownership is indeed within your reach.
